In 2010, Marc Lewis persuaded the advertising industry to back him in reinventing John Gillard’s much missed School of Communication Arts. Now in its twelfth year, SCA is celebrated as the most awarded ad school in The World, winning more D&AD New Blood, Cannes Lions and Drum Chip Shop Awards than any other creative advertising school or course.
After falling into a life of crime, Marc Lewis was offered a scholarship to attend SCA when it first existed in the 1990‘s. The course changed his life. Upon graduating he was a writer for Leo Burnett, but later became a tech entrepreneur.
With the ambition to offer the same life-changing experience to others, Marc reopened the SCA in 2010 and has since been recognised for his incredible contribution to advertising with The Drum Chip Shop award in 2019.
